Qatofin

QAPCO (63%), Total Petrochemicals (36%) and QP (1%) have entered into a joint venture agreement to establish a world-class linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) plant in Mesaieed, adjacent to the existing QAPCO plant. The Qatofin LLDPE plant is operated by Qapco and its production of around 450,000 MT, marketed by Qapco and Total Petrochemicals, is mainly exported to the world. Feasibility study to increase the production from 450 KT/y to 600 KT/y are in progress.
