QAPCO is building a new LDPE Plant (LDPE-3) within its existing facilities area located at Mesaieed Industrial City (MIC) as a part of QAPCO’s strategy, to more effectively utilize the natural resources of Qatar and to meet the growing demand for polyethylene all over the world.

The project is now under construction with an annual capacity of 300KMT and is forecasted to be completed by the end of 2011. By implementing this project, QAPCO's total annual production capacity of LDPE will reach to 700 KMTA and the combined annual production capacity of Polyolefins (LDPE+LLDPE) will reach to 1.15 MMTA, this will be the highest single site production facility of Polyolefins in the world.
